Founded in 2004, The Learning Community is a public charter school that enrolls more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. It maintains a faculty that includes a reading specialist and speech therapist, as well as over 15 classroom teachers and bilingual teaching assistants. The school offers programs in math, English, science and physical education. It also provides special education programs to students with learning disabilities. The school s administrative and student support teams offer a variety of technical and clinical support services. It additionally provides oral literacy classes, including debates and group discussions. The Learning Community is located in Central Falls, R.I.
