Accused my friend of being a scammer. My friend called to get an estimate to replace his starter. Dude gave him an estimate and towing cost as well. They came and towed the car and called back after a couple hours saying it was done. He went to pick up the car. The owner's son, who towed the car gave him the bill which was less than what was quoted. But seeing as mechanic shops usually charge time and materials, figured must have not taken as long or whatever. Didn't see the towing cost on there and asked the owner's son about it and was told that it was included because of some in-town special. Cool. Sounded like he would probably return there for more service in the future. 20 minutes later my buddy gets a call from the owner accusing him of trying to scam them. That the owner had given him a price and that was what my friend should've paid.
