I came to kwik kar after having gotten my oil cahnged by The Pennzoil place by the movie theater. I had some oil in my drive after my service with the other place. i looked under my hood, my oil cap was off, my water was low, and my brake fluid was far below the minimum line. so i called. I called kwik kar by mastake. the manager was very nice he said that they were arross from brookshire brothers; but i was welcome to bring my car in to have them look at it. so i told him i would bring it my in the after noon. i pulled up at 5:02 they were closing all the doors down. so i started to turn around. a man walked out to my car and asked if he could help me. i told him i just needed my car checked out. he had the doors open. then told me to pull in he would have a look. i told him i could come back tomorrow. he insisted it would not be a problem. he checked my car. added the oil, and the other things i needed. he told me that my cars oild filter was leaking. he replaced it. had me start my car to check my new filter. he also washed off the oil from the old filter so it would not drip any more. i am using them from now on.

I have had not one, but TWO incedents with Kwik Kar & wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The second time I got my oil changed at Kwik Kar, soon after all of my oil was on the ground in my drive way. They didn't screw my oil plug in correctly & my car had no oil, therefore, I had no transportation. I called Kwik Kar & the man in charge, Chance came to my house after waiting at least an hour. (I live 10 minutes from Carthage) He came to my house without an oil plug or any replacement oil & tried to accuse me of removing the oil plug myself. Eventually he made a trip back to Carthage & replaced the oil & the plug. Yesterday I got my oil changed, went to my boyfriends house & the same thing happened except this time it was my oil filter. I should've learned my lesson the first time. Terrible service all around.

Was turned down for an inspection due to being registered in an emissions county. Hays county, look it up, is not an emissions county, nor do they have it listed as such there. I was told over the phone if I can prove to them... prove what? The registration sticker says "Hays." The Pennzoil place by the movie theater had no problem getting my inspection done, however, and had far superior customer service.

I had my oil changed & tires rotated twice @ Kwik Kar Oil & Lube in Carthage, TX. I went to Pippen Chevrolet in Carthage, TX to have my oil changed & tires rotated because they (Pippen) will do the work for 1/2 of what it cost @ Kwik Kar. I orginaly started with Pippen by taking my wife Suburban there. That is how I came to the knowledge of the price difference. The last time I took my Ford into Kwik Kar, they stripped my oil drain plug out. I didn't find this out till Pippen brought it to my attention. This being the first time Pippen had touched my Ford, I knew they had not stripped the plug. I called Kwik Kar to bring me a replacement plug. They did so after making me wait 1 hr. I was also charged $5 for the drain plug. In my opinion, I should have not been charged for something that I didn't no mess up. I refuse to go to a place that charges double on the exact same service. Their customer service is sub-par in my opinion also.
