DO NOT COME HERE This braid shop is TRASH and the owner is HORRIBLE PURE FILTH. Do not spend your money or waster your time coming to this POS shop. Braids have all fell out after a few days and refuses to recrify the situation and the owner decided that she would not do the moral thing and own up to be awful and doesnt know how to run a business

I really love the way they do my hair and that of my 2 kids, we all love our braids. I did Senegalese twist while my kids did box braids, they really love it. Thanks to y'all

Do not go to this establishment. Most women in their lifetime have had that one hair horror story and Nijira Braids gave me that experience after thirty-five years of living.



My appointment was at 11:00, the stylist started at 12:20. I showed a picture of the style I wanted, she saw the photo said okay. She stated that she would charge me 220.00 for some jumbo twists that take 3 hours to complete. Then she said I was responsible for also purchasing the hair outside of the 220.00. All together I paid this woman 260.00.



When she took out the hair I asked her about it because it had no shine. She stated that it was the same hair in the photo I showed her but the photo was altered to look shiny (liar).



She twisted one, I commented again, that the hair didn't look smooth like the photo. She assured it was the same, it was Bob Marley hair, and that it would be fine.



She asked me if I wanted my hair trimmed that was hanging outside the braid, I said sure.When she took out a cigarette lighter to burn the strays off the Bob Marley hair I asked her was she burning my hair too...she said NO and my hair was protected INSIDE of the twist.



When she finished my head the twists were stiff and nappy looking. I told her I didn't like the hair. I paid her and left.Took my kid to the movies so embarrassed at how I looked, went home a few hours after getting the twists and took them all down because I couldn't go to work on Monday looking like that.



WHEN I TOOK THEM OUT, JUST HOURS LATER, MY HAIR WAS COMING OUT!!! 2-4 inches were cut by her from trimming the twists too close with the scissors. My hair shed for three days from this lady burning my real hair out my head with that cigarette lighter.



And of course she refused to give me my money back, offered to redo my hair in another style. WHAT IDIOT WOULD ALLOW HER HANDS IN THEIR HEAD AGAIN.....I hope karma pays her back everything she deserves for doing this.

The owner is horrible.The owner charges way to much. I went there twice, hoping things will change. But their lazy work remained the same.

Do NOT settle for less when you and your money are worth more. I have the worst braids I have ever seen. At the time I scheduled the appointment I asked do you think my hair is long enough and I told her the length. She said 'it's not a problem." I'm sure she was able to see my hair BEFORE she started on it and said "it's ok." Now 7 hours and $200 later my hair is a train wreck. It's very frizzy, because all the hair would not fit into the braid. You pay first so she can get the money and leave then the next person had to try and work with it. She also quoted the price $150-$200 and got upset when she tried to charge me even more than the quoted price. I will not refer my worst enemy to Nijira Braids please look for another braider, this lady is a con.
