Very good eye glasses service, repairs and prescription fills. He can put lenses in your frames or vintage ones. Big line on Saturdays but same day service most times.

i broke my glasses frames on a trip to calif, and had already been to an eyewear store where they told me my expensive titanium frame Silouettes would need a new earpiece ($200), and it would take a week to order them. i called around for anyone with them in stock, and found no one. then i broke my second pair, and as i complained in our condo a girl told me about hot shot. i went down at 1:30 (open until 2 on sat), and he said sure and proceeded to fix both pair for $30! I assumed they had been soldered, so asked if they still needed to be replaced. he said no, proceeded to do the "silouette dance" bending them every way just like the optician did when he sold me on these. they stayed together. he called it "micro-induction welding". i am so pleased.

He not only fixed my husbands glasses, he was able to replace a missing arm on my sons glasses, and it matched perfectly!

A friend who knew my glasses were badly broken gave me a card for Hot Shots a few months ago. I tucked it in my wallet and never went. When I began working in Carlsbad, I decided to give Hot Shots a try. I expected to be told they couldn't be fixed, or that it would take a month. The employee glanced at my glasses said "no problem" and took them to the work room. In less than 15 minutes, they were done, and the price she charged me was too low to mention. I observed a steady flow of customers with mangled frames and other problems, all with the same outcome as mine, and all with the same satisfaction level as mine. The owner relies on his customers' satisfaction for referrals, and goes through many business cards every month. His excellent work that most places won't or don't have the ability to do, along with excellent prices and great customer service and satisfaction should speak for themselves, but I wanted to pass the word along as well.
