After advising you to go new, you cheapened up and wanted rebuilt. We told you, via e-mail, that there are no warranties on rebuilt parts, you said to use rebuilt, “much better” in the terms of a price from new vs. rebuilt. You contact me a month later stating, “Michelle, We have a problem. The starboard trim cylinder is still leaking. The boat is now in Orlando and will not be returning to the Cape. How and when will you be able to make this warranty repair?” When our warranty policy CLEARLY STATES IN HIGHLIGHTED YELLOW 10 DAYS OF COMPLETED DATE WHETHER BOAT IS USED OR NOT!! Only to find out that it wasn’t the issue WE REPAIRED!! It was a new issue – “There is 2 trim cylinders to this. We only did the one on the Stbd engine, stbd side. If it is leaking, then the new seal kit didn't work and you will need to replace the steering cylinder and that is not covered under any warranty. Most likely it is the port side of the Stbd engine that is leaking. Either way, you will have to bring the boat to us to check this out.” You then “refused” to bring us the boat and demanded “You need to come here and repair it.” You = Marine One Services. Here = your home in Orlando. I also stated, “Denny, This is why Kris discussed with you to go new on these parts and initially quoted you “new”, but you wanted a cheaper solution (please refer to your e-mails on the USED quotes from when we discussed doing this with new parts quote as well); hence the reason why you went used and rebuilt. Kris cannot do a cylinder repair at your house or mobile. The boat needs to be put on schedule and brought to our shop.” I offered a solution, you then threaten me with an attorney, “Kris can certainly repair it here. Mobile mechanics do it all the time. It may require 2 trips but so be it. If after 5 days from today you have not contacted me to schedule Kris coming out I will have it repaired locally and will send you the bill. If you fail to pay we will let the attorneys figure it out.” I offered a solution to bring it to our shop to check and repair the new issue and you refused and argued. “Denny, Kris cannot do the repair mobile. I have extended the invite to bring the boat to us here at the marina on our next available appointment in order for us to look at the new issue. Feel free to get another repair, feel free to contact an attorney. Threatening me with one doesn’t get you in any sooner, much less at all. Keep in mind, and express to your attorney the e-mails and info on receipt, that you opted for USED PARTS NOT THE NEW PARTS THAT WE ORIGINALLY QUOTED YOU”. YOU opted and stated to go rebuilt/used, because IT WAS CHEAPER THAN WHAT YOU WANTED TO SPEND. USED PARTS HAVE NO WARRANTY and our USED PARTS WARRANTY ON LABOR IS 10 (TEN) DAYS WHETHER THE BOAT IS USED OR NOT, as stated on invoice, receipt and web-site. Thank you and good try at a failed attempt to bad mouth my company. If anyone would like a copy of the e-mails outlining the truth, feel free to contact me at 321-783-8117.

I had a leak in my trim/tilt system on my boat. I hired M1 to repair it. They installed a rebuilt cylinder. Upon completion I hauled the boat to my home 35 miles away. Upon arrival it was discovered that it still leaked. I told them that they must come to my home to complete the repair and they refused. I was invited to bring the 32' boat 35 miles so they could take another stab at the repair. I am being forced to have it repaired by a local mechanic and will deal with M1 later.
