WARNING: COCOA BEACH TAXI IS A SHAM, A RIP-OFF AND A VERY BAD BUSINESS! I called Cocoa Beach Taxi, also known as Pay What You Want Taxi, and told them I needed a cab so I could pick-up my car at the mechanic shop and I needed to be there before 5 pm--it was 3:30 pm. The dispatch took my address and said they would send a car right out. After 45 mins of waiting, I called back and told the dispatcher again that I had to be there before 5, and now it was 4:15 pm. He said I was the next pick-up and the cab would be there in no more than 15 mins. 20 mins passed and I called back, and the dispatcher said again I was next in line, and now it was 4:35 pm. I asked if he was absolutely sure because it was Friday and if I didn't get my car I'd be without it all week-end. He hung up on me while I was in mid-sentence. When I spoke to this man, I was nice, not yelling or rude, and he just kept stringing me along. Luckily, I called Taxi888 and they had someone at my home in less than 5 mins! If you don't care when or if a cab gets to you, use this service. If you do, they will keep stringing you along until you miss your appointment.
