E.M. Duggan, founded in south Boston in 1891, has passed through three generations of fathers and sons who carry on the name and business of plumbing, heating and air conditioning. Duggan is a contractor specializing in plumbing, air conditioning, fire protection and heating systems. In recent years the focus of Duggan has been toward commercial and industrial work and the business has grown from a five-man family operation to a firm with more than 120 employees and located in Canton, Mass., 14 miles outside of Boston. A few of the notable projects that Duggan has worked on have been, The Fleet Center, International Place phase 1 and 2, Harvard dormitories, The Old State House, Fanueil Hall Renovation, Children s Hospital, Beth Israel, Brigham & Woman s Hospital and the Fan Pier Courthouse.
