THE POWER OF BASKETBALL Learning to play basketball at a young age is one of the best gifts you can give a child. Not only will they learn a sport they can play for a lifetime, they will learn life skills that will help them navigate the rest of their lives. Leadership, Decision Making, Integrity, and a Never Quit Attitude are staples of the Universal Basketball Academy Program. At UBA we treasure the relationships we have with everyone of our players. We know that they see us as coaches and mentors and we understand the responsibility that that relationship brings. We see our role as not only the basketball coach but also as mentors and role models to young student athletes. As our players grow up we know how important basketball and the team experience is to keep young athletes on the straight and narrow. We can see how a never quit attitude on the court translates to better grades in school. We see how integrity on the court translates to integrity in your off court relationships. And the skills that our players learn, to think and make good decisions under pressure, and to be a leader when you are needed, all these skills help to create a well rounded individual that doesn't view success as an option, they view success as the destination, and they wont quit till they get there.
