I brought my pig in for a routine check and hoove trim. They charged me $69 for the first visit and then told me to come back for a “piggy spa day.” I explained to the doctor that my pig did not do well with sediation th first time and she assured me that everything would be great. After dropping my pig off for his “spa day” I was called four hours later and told that the sediation wasn’t working and if they did this for longer then he would be died. This is not the kind of call that you want to get about your beloved pet. I immediately went to pick him up and was told that I owe $59. I never saw the doctor for any follow up. This place is a horrible waste of money and extremely unprofessional. My pet pig was treated like a horrible animal as he had to escape out the back door. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I have never had such a terrible experience with a vet practice. Our dog had an infected uterus, pyometra, and as we later discovered, all of her symptoms pointed directly to it. We took her to them 2 times over the course of 10 days and left her with them for 2 nights and they not only did not make the correct diagnosis, but they dismissed her as if she was ok with no special directions whatsoever, after charging a hefty bill of course. She was septic by the time we took her to another vet, the next day,, as I was not about to watch her waste away with no diagnosis. The other vet immediately made the proper diagnosis and treated her the same Saturday. Country vet wouldn't even give us copies of her x- rays when we went for them, even though I called ahead and they had said they would. They said the vet was too busy all day long with other patients once we had made the drive. I cannot understand why they were so unprofessional with us but I definitely will not return and will not recommend them to anyone I know.

Cannot recommend this vet. Went to them with our 2 dogs for almost 2 yrs for routine vaccines but when the first real problem came up, they failed to diagnose correctly, and our dog nearly died though we had consulted with them multiple times over two weeks, and they kept the dog for x- rays and monitoring for 2 days. Luckily, we found another vet, who correctly diagnosed the dog within 5 min plus 20 min of bloodwork to confirm, and within a few hours, she was recovering from surgery, and should go on to lead a healthy and normal life. Every time we went to Country Vet, but especially during this fishing expedition, which was quite costly for us, it was a huge chore to get a quote for what procedures were expected to cost, and every single time we went to pay, the quote had extra costs tacked on. We felt treated very coldly when we asked for basic info on price or for copies of our dog's records. It was the most unprofessional vet experience I have ever had. Not going back.

Love the vets and staff here! I am constantly impressed with the level of caring and customer service, and they treat my pets like family. I am especially glad that I can reach them on the weekends, when my pets always seem to find ways to get hurt or sick. Some of us just can't afford what the emergency clinics charge to see our pets!

Don't bother wasting your time with them for Equine visits! I recently set up and appointment with Dr. Bolton to have her come to our farm for our horses for a routine lab visit. I was told that she travels with in 20 miles from her location and given the price house call price. 3 days before she was supposed to arrive, she had her secretary Amy call and almost double the price of the house call, stating that it was because she can't reach me within 20 minutes. I was then told that she doesn't like to drive on the back country roads. Our farm is 18 miles from their office to my door. Needless to say I canceled the appointment. Her loss for repeat business. They should get their facts straight before setting appointments for house calls and then try to double dip and screw the customer. Very disappointed with their lack of professionalism.

Dear Kathryn - Our sincerest apologies for the initial confusion, however you are not a client of ours, and it appears you are upset because we called to confirm the cost of our services before driving out to your farm. As our receptionist explained to you, the information we had originally placed you outside of our "local" radius. Unfortunately, it is just not financially feasible for any ambulatory service to not charge for the fuel, vehicle and time on the road. It is certainly one of the reasons we have built an "in-house" facility for our patients as we can better serve them at the clinic and save our clients the farm call costs. This is not "double-dipping", it is being honest and forthright with our clients.

DO NOT use this vet. They have an ethical issue with declawing cats. No problem with their views except they don't tell you until after surgery. It was not done according to what was requested or expected. When you complain to them about it they want to know what other vets you'll go to and threaten to call other vets. Very unprofessional and they have a private agenda that reveals itself too late.

Mr. Owens, we have no private agenda. We have always been very upfront with our clients in that we do not remove a cat's back claws except in dire medical circumstances that require removal of those claws. As our vets explained to you, we find it an unnecessary and unethical procedure and our views on this are supported by the vast majority of the veterinary field. Should you have further complaints because we refuse to perform this procedure, we would ask you to take it to our attorney instead of continuing your libelous comments on the internet. Thank you.

What a wonderful clinic! Very little waiting time for my appointment, Dr. Yates was informative and excellent with my cat, and his staff was friendly, efficient and welcoming. I was not pressured into services and products I did not need, and all of my questions were answered patiently and thoroughly. I would and have recommended this clinic to anyone I know with pets. It is a breath of fresh air!
