Derbyshire Stables is amazing!!!! I love it there. It's very clean, and the horses are well taken care of and very friendly. The instructors are very kind and considerate. I learned how to ride there. It's the best place to be! They have super fun, amazing birthday parties, and very engaging summer camps. I highly recommend Derbyshire Stables!

This barn has declined over the years. For the private boarder, or a more experienced rider working with a specific trainer, it might still be a good place to be. As the parent of a beginner rider I would not recommend it for beginners. My child currently rides here, and I'm shopping for a new place. Instructors change - without notice - on a regular basis, and there have been several lessons where I've been genuinely worried for the safety of the kids. (Helmets worn loose and half-way off, horses dangerously close or simply uncontrolled with no action taken by the instructor, kids too inexperienced placed in a group lesson, ect.)For a pony party or a place to board your own horse and ride independently, sure, but don't take your kids here to really learn to ride.
