The Ethelbert Cooper Gallery of African and African American Art is one of the first of its kind: a university gallery space dedicated to the exhibition of African and African American art. Recently opened in fall 2014, the Cooper Gallery features contemporary art exhibitions and is proud to open its doors to visitors, faculty, artists, and students. It hosts a wide range of dynamic workshops, artist talks, symposia, lectures, and performances that engage audiences with both the selections on view and their myriad contexts. Admission is free and open to the public.
