I always try to shop at Califon Lumber. They carry a good grade of lumber and have a wonderful paint department. It is a old time hardware store and stocks a little bit of everything. The owner always remembers my name!

I have always tried to shop with local stores in an effort to keep our small towns thriving. However, after 5 years of being a loyal customer with Califon Lumber, I've changed my mind. I was hassled about returning merchandise and yelled at by the owner - a completely unwarranted (over) reaction to the situation. Shoppers beware.
