I had a little trouble finding the salon because it was on the second level of the building and they didn’t really have a visible sign that tells you were to go. I had a few pictures on my phone that I’d found on Pinterest of hairstyles I liked. I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted…my ONLY request when I sat in that chair was NO BUN! I made it quite clear that I DID NOT want a bun in my hair. "Anything but that!" were my exact words. I also let her know that I was looking for a salon to do my bridesmaid’s hair for my wedding in April. Well, I sit down and she starts doing my hair. The whole time she’s singing in my ear, literally! The radio was on and she was singing along to every single song. I was half crazy by the time she finished. I wanted my hair pulled back with volume in the front. What I ended up with was a lumpy tangled mess, something I could’ve done better myself. In the back of my hair was a braid wrapped around-you guessed it-A BUN! I was in shock! I’m not the type of person to tell someone I hated the style and make a scene in the salon. But honestly, it was horrendous. Then she says to me “This is just a practice run for the wedding, we’re gonna make the front of your hair less messy and maybe do a little bit more with the back on your wedding day.” I felt a little better when she called it a 'practice run' because I figured she wouldn’t charge me for a style-NOPE!! Had to pay $35.00 for a crappy hairstyle and A BUN in the back of my head! It’s a good thing my sister-in-law was able to salvage the hairstyle before I went to do my wedding dress fitting. Imagine if it was on my Wedding Day? It would’ve been a complete disaster! Needless to say, Salon Unique will NOT be anywhere near mine or my bridesmaid’s hair on my wedding day.
