This is one of those old, dirty, really authentic auto repair shops where you might worry they're going to slap your car back together with duct tape and send you on your way. Not so. This guy knows what he is doing, and he does it fairly, even when you're a teensy tiny woman like me.



I went here because I was working nearby when my old Sentra car needed first aid - usually I take it to a place near my home in Studio City because it's convenient. Well, the last convenience cost me $1300, a price I later found out was extreme. Next time I'm going back to John. He told me all the things that DIDN'T need fixing on my car, tried very hard to keep the price as low as possible, and generally made me feel like he gave a damn about me as a customer. Fair rates, solid workmanship, and an honest proprietor. A true gem.
