I love my mother, but all my life she has been so hard on me. Now that I am an adult, she doesn't like my girlfriend, my apartment, you name it, she criticizes it.
I wanted to continue to have a relationship with her, but I wanted her to respect me and to accept my choices for my life. Mom and I went to see Jeannette York, for family therapy. We went for about 10 sessions and I can honestly say, my mother seems to now understand that she can be apart of my life without controlling my life. In addition there are some things about my mother that I never knew. I am so grateful to Ms York. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking help with family issues. It cost money, but it was worth it.
