I stayed here for a few weeks and LOVED it!
I would recommend it to anyone asking!

Sandy in Physical Therapy was great!
Anne in the Occupational Center was wonderful!
Susan in Social Services was super!
And Wendy, an aide, was wonderful too!

I am completing a 9-day stay following a total hip replacement. I also suffer from depression and diabetes and didn't trust myself to be capable of the self-care necessary following major surgery. I am very fortunate that my surgeon, , hospital, and healthcare insurance agreed to allow me to begin my recovery in this skilled nursing facility. The very individualized, focused care I received was nothing short of astounding. The staff anticipated my needs from the moment I arrived by ambulance, in terms of medications, wound care, checking vitals and blood sugar on a routine basis, providing physical therapy, hygiene care, meals, case management (where they coordinate with insurance company behind the scenes and I don't see all the approvals occurring to ensure my care goes forward as needed), as well as regular visits from the physician, social worker to ensure as a single person I can safely maintain my own care upon discharge. The attention to cleanliness and prevention of contracting or spreading of resistant strains of bacteria which have plagued so many hospitals and facilities was also very impressive. The staff are well-trained and this is the hardest working bunch of nurses aides I have ever seen. I really appreciate arriving 2 days after my surgery non-ambulatory and 9 days later I'm walking out with a cane with only over-the counter pain management (at my request), which means I'll be able to drive this week also, now that I'm off narcotics.

This facility is rated one star by Medicare (see "worst nursing homes in LA County". My partner was already going to the bathroom on his own and when he got to Burbank Healthcare they put him on a diaper so he could defecate in it. As soon as I saw this I paid for a van to move him to another facility which was a 5 star facility.
