I like good food, but have little tolerance for bad service and bad food. On 1/28./2006, I had dinner with another person at the Elmwood Restaurant Lounge & Bar. Upon walking in, the place smelled unpleasant, that waiter (I suspect was the owner, cook, 1-man show) was rude and didn't present well. We ordered Prime Rib of Beef, and Surf and Turf @$14.95/each. Surprisingly, the prime rib was not roasted, rather sliced raw, and fried in a salty sauce (Worcestershire, perhaps). It came with mashed potatoes that were fried (with a crust) and a piece of broccoli with horrible sauce (tasted like white sauce with lemon). Surf and turn came with a lobster tail measuring 2 inches--improperly cooked, and a tiny piece of beef, cooked like the prime rib. Chicken soup had bones, skin and cartilage. The waiter didn?t seem troubled that we were dissatisfied. Bill: $37.00; GRADE F; WILL NOT RETURN; SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN; HORRIBLE! I WOULD GO TO MCDONALD?S BEFORE I EVER RETURN HERE. STAY AWAY FROM!
