So the day comes for the visit and they arrive several hours later than the promised window because a previous customer requested additional services. During this cleaning, I had to go downstairs to two vents with one of their techs to make sure nothing was damaged or removed without my knowledge. During this time, without me or my wife's knowledge, one of Green Air Care's techs gave permission to a man not wearing any identifying company shirt and no badge to enter our house. Neither my wife or I knew that this person was not part of their crew until the man came up the basement stairs with our water meter asking us to sign paperwork for a smart meter replacement. Needless to say, my wife and I were very upset about this as this could have been a thief looking to gain access to our home. We have several electronic pieces of equipment that are worth thousands of dollars in our home. In the end, we accepted the apology of the lead technician after he instructed his technicians they could not give any person access to a house unless they are part of their crew.

During the visit, the lead technician recommended a sanitizing of the ducts since there was a concern about the previous house owners pushing feces into the return ducts and my wife would be soon having a surgery that would involve her being in the house for several weeks of healing. This was a $700 additional charge which I eventually charged to my credit card. Additionally, the vent in our bathroom and one of the bedrooms is now hanging loose since one or more of their techs damaged the wall to the point that they do not secure into the wall. We did not notice this immediately.

Over the next several months, we continued to smell an odor and when I was finally able to get time off work, I contacted Green Air Care to have them refund the purchase after my wife had our HVAC installer confirm this was due to dirty ducts and not a result of gas leak from the furnace or AC units. Both Ashley (Scheduler) and Tiffany (Manager) informed me that they would not refund the service without us giving them a second opportunity to correct the problem as required according to the contract we signed at the completion of the first visit.

When the day came for the visit, I again had to wait several hours past the promised service time window because a previous customer had 3 furnaces in their system. Once again, I was understanding of this and had them begin the cleaning. This time, the lead tech informed me that the first cleaning had not been performed properly (the blower had not been connected to the central air duct main trunk and he saw visible signs of excessive debris in the vents). During this visit, the lead tech showed me several locations that had several inches of debris on them (paper cups, dust piles and a plastic monkey).

A few weeks later, Ifound that the last crew had left a substantial amount of debris in the return duct of the living room during a network cable install.

When I brought this to the attention of Ashley and Tiffany again, they told me that they couldn't offer a refund, but told me they could send a cleaning crew out a third time. At this point though, I have had enough of the lost time and hassle of monitoring the cleaning crews and I requested a full refund. Tiffany initially said she could offer a $100 refund and the third cleaning, to which I responded that this was not acceptable as I would now be going with my HVAC installer to properly clean the vents as my wife has upcoming surgeries again where she will be recovering/healing at home.
