I had read 100 reviews for different salons (waxing services) and thought I would give Mrs. Ken a try. I was beyond pleased that all the good things I read were true! Could not be more pleased and will certainly return.

Mrs. Ken is the best! Sweet, gentle, funny, not too expensive and great quality. Recommended for any first-timers.

I'm not the type of person to make an account like this to write reviews for things, but I felt that Mrs. Ken was more than worthy of one. Mrs. Ken is honestly the sweetest, most accommodating individual on the main line. I have never experienced service like that which she offers. I'm a local student and had previously been getting bikini waxes when I would go home for breaks but that changed when I first went to Mrs. Ken a few months ago. She is more than willing to rearrange her schedule to suit you and always, always gives you a fair price, plus the special wax she uses is virtually painless. Excellent service- best-kept secret on the main line in my opinion.

I went to her on a whim because I really needed an eyebrow and upper lip wax. I have to say that it was the best experience with a waxing I have ever had! She was so no and explained what she wanted to do to my eyebrows before she started and actually listened to my opinions which doesn't usually happen. She was fairly priced, but she does only take cash or check which I didn't know till after she was done. Luckily I had enough cash on me to cover it and her tip.

I went because of all the reviews on numerous sites and they were very accurate! The wax really is terrific. It has been a week since my brazilian wax and no ingrown hairs (a miracle for me)!



The reason why I gave this 4 stars is because it is cash or check only- luckily I had a check with me! I really liked the experience and have already gone back for an eyebrow wax- that was terrific too!

Mrs. Ken is the best! I have gotten brazilian waxes and eyebrow waxes from her and both were flawless. Mrs. Ken knows what she is doing and I don't trust anyone with my eyebrows but her. I explained to her that I am trying to reshape/grow them and she knew exactly what to do. Her brazilian wax was far less painful than other salons' that I have been to on the main line. She pulls the wax off instead of using strips and I could really tell the difference. I used to get waxed at a salon in Wayne, Pa but the first time I tried Mrs. Ken's waxing I was hooked.

This was an amazing experience! First of all I am from Michigan and I was looking for a place to have a Brazilian wax today (a Friday) before the 4th of July holiday and even though she was leaving for a vacation on Monday to visit her 90 year old father in California, she stayed open an extra hour and a half to provide the service for me. She used a special kind of wax that is from Europe and does not need to use strips to remove the hair and it doesn't hurt as much either! Overall great experience and she does have less expensive prices for students!! Very kind lady and appreciated the service and time! Recommended for sure!

Mrs Ken is the BEST waxing lady I have EVER gone to! Just recently moved back home to Philly/Main Line area and I had been needing to get waxed for a while, put it off for quite some time due to family emergencies and then a new job, etc. Finally had a day where I got pencil an appointment in and I had already Googled for waxing places months prior. Stumbled upon this site and all of the reviews here were excellent and knew I had to go see Mrs Ken. I am definately glad I didn't go anywhere else because it was well worth the wait! She uses a better kind of wax than your average salon and none of those cloth strips! For years I had been shaving my upper lip and plucking my chin to avoid getting them waxed and now I am wishing that Mrs Ken was in Texas because it would have saved me a lot of time and pain! She noticed when she was waxing my eyebrows that one arch is higher than the other and she is fixing that, very glad! I would definately HIGHLY recommend her to EVERYONE! I live in Bala Cynwyd, but my sister lives just down the block from her salon. It's worth every penny I spend in gas milage to get my waxing done at Mrs Ken's! Don't go anywhere else but to Mrs Ken! She does the best job ever and no one else can even compete!

i went to Mrs. Ken for my first ever Brazilian wax the other day, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She put me at ease and was very professional and engaging. She explained what she was doing and had a sense of humor about it! She's been doing this for a long time, and you can tell. I will definitely be coming back to her in the future!

I have seen Mrs. Ken for about 3 years. I will not let anyone else touch my eyebrows. She has restored shaping that previous salons had ruined. Her methods are truly pain-free, compared to strips. She is always on time with her appointments which is a bonus since I usually see her over my lunch hour. She is painstaking and careful.

I've never written a review before, which just shows how necessary I felt it was to write this. I got a wax, and Mrs. Ken is great - she makes you feel comfortable and makes what would be a painful process relatively pain free. I'll definitely be back here again, especially since the prices are so friendly as well.

Excellent eyebrow waxing! She takes longer than other places I've been to, but the results are absolutely worth it. $16 gets you a well-shaped eyebrow with no stray hairs and tips on how to brush and fill in your eyebrows. She does other waxing services...I will be trying her Brazilian wax soon because I am sick and tired of getting duct-taped and being in pain!

I started going to Mrs Ken while in college & have sinced moved away and still make the trip out to see her! Takes her time, very thorough, and does an excellent job. Would recommend anyone go to her!

I had my first appointment with Mrs. Ken today after my friend recommended her and all I can say is WOW! I had a brow and lip wax scheduled and she spent FORTY minutes with me! Yes, 40! She uses a special wax that is more gentle on the skin and doesn't require muslin strips. She talked to me about the shape of my brows and what I'd been doing wrong. She showed me how to use a pencil to fill in the sparse spots and she was completely thorough in getting all the hair off my upper lip. She also used a topical numbing agent that made the whole process easier to bear. I promised her I that now that my brows are in her care, I will not touch them and I'm scheduled to see her in a month. I am in awe of her skill, talent and passion for her customers. 100% recommend. I won't go anywhere else ever again for any waxing needs and you shouldn't either. :)

Today was my first wax with ms Kim. I had been to many others over the years but now will not go anywhere else. She puts you at ease, uses a relatively painless method, takes time-no rush job, is kind and reasonably priced. I will recommend her to all my friends.

Mrs. Ken has been doing my waxing for fifteen years. I won't see anyone but her. The couple times I let someone else give it a shot I regretted it. In fact, I now live 45 minutes away but have no problem making the drive out to her. She does the best job and it's absolutely painless. Everyone I send to her thanks me. She also does the best nails. I wish I could get manicures from her every week.

I did so much research before getting my brazilian wax. I went in a bit nervous and uncertain, but Mrs. Ken made it so worth it and PAINLESS. I will definitely go there from now on. The wax that was used was a gentle, creamy wax that did not require any "strips." With at least 30 years of experience, Mrs. Ken was amazingly professional and she also engages in conversation with her customers and offers such a friendly service. I plan on going back there this week to get my eyebrows done as well as a manicure. This experience was so worth it, and I am extremely happy to have found the perfect salon. I offer the highest recommendation to everyone!

Mrs Ken is a great place to go for European wax.She specializes in bikini, eyebrow, lip, chin, leg, arm & body wax. It is clean, reasonably priced, & easy to get an appointment. The wax is only used 1x - unlike other places! The wax she uses has no odor and her method is gentle; unlike the fabric strips that often are pushed into the wax and pull off a layer of skin, used in other salons! There is less discomfort with her careful method. Mrs. Ken is careful in all applications of wax.

Her manicures are wonderful as well. Quick, fresh polish, great selections of colors, top quality products, reasonably priced & clean. Her tools are sterilized. One never gets the impression she is rushing the job. She is careful to take care of each client and their needs. Her cuticle detail and painting on of colors is done with a steady hand...wether it is a manicure or pedicure, you will like the personal touch of Mrs. Ken. I have been a steady, weekly client for over 25 years and have always been more than satisfied. Location is convenient, and parking is right there, and free.
