I have never seen Dr. Garner or Above and Beyond, but I used to work with a mobile vet practice and I think the ONE STAR rating from previous client who had a bad experience might be too harsh and most likely due to miscommunication.
It is upsetting when your cat is not well and being homebound makes everything so much worse. Plus, it makes you more sensitive to changes in your pet. Good for you for calling a vet to come help.
And while $200 may seem like a large amount to pay without even getting a blood test, it is most likely just a little higher than you would have paid at a stationary vet practice for initial exam and most likely some sort of physcial medicine like ACUPUNCTURE, chiropractic, laser therapy or any number of wholistic or integrated treatment.
I'm sorry the communication was unclear with you but I find that happens alot. During the emotional discussion the vet gives you all options and often it is reasonable to try one approach but must keep in mind that if pet is not better in 24 - 48 hours, more will likely need to be done.
Also I don't know how old you cat was but kidney disease and sadly, infected teeth with gingivitis are two of the most common (if not the most common) reasons older cats are brought to the vet for illness.
It sounds like you really loved your cat and did what you could do.
It also sounds like your mobile vet had a hard time finding your place and was stressed because it puts her behind so that her whole day might then be backed up and she might be working well into the night.
I'm just chiming in to try to explain and to tell you that i'm sorry you lost your pet. That always hurts! Good luck in future. kr, dvm.

NEVER USE THIS PERSON MANUELA GARNER.

AM HANDICAPPED SO HAD TO USE MOBILE VET.

SHE TOOK ALMOST $200 JUST FOR LAB TEST. IF SHE HAD DONE IT MY CAT WOULD NOT BE DYING NOW. SHE TOLD ME LAB WHERE HAD BEEN DONE WHEN ASKED HER FOR COPY.LAB SAID NEVER HAD DONE TEST. SHE CLIPPED SOMETHING OUT OF INTERNET AND SENT TO ME. SHE KEPT ME IN THE DARK AS TO WHAT WAS WRONG. FINALLY WAS TAKEN TO A VET'S OFFICE WHO FOUND CAT HAD BEEN SUFFERING FROM INFECTED TEETH ALL THOSE MONTHS. AND KIDNEY DISEASE. AND OTHER PROBLEMS.

SHE APPEARED TO BE A BIT UNBALANCED AT FIRST BUT I WAS HOMEBOUND AND NEEDED TO USE HER. ]\

HAD GIVEN HER MY ADDRESS EXPLICITLY BUT SHE WENT TO WRONG PLACE ,BARGED IN AND INSISTED THE WOMAN HAD CALLED HER. SHE EXXPRESSED ANGER TOWARD ME AFTER SHE HAD CALLED A NUMBER OF TIMES -SHE WAS IN WRONG COMPLEX.
