Only go to Oak Hill if you want to die. My grandfather went there for COPD. He was put on a C-Pap machine though he was breathing just fine without it. His primary had him on a strict medication schedule with Hydrocodone & Xanax every 4 hours. The stupid nurse was torturing him by not letting him have his medication but every 6-8 hours, then would start the new time. So instead of taking his meds at 12, 4, 8, 12....the nurse would give him his meds at 12, 6, 12. If he took them early, say 12pm,then 4pm, she would start his new 6 hours at 4pm....so his next set of time for his meds by her calculations would be 10pm. This caused him tremendous pain. His legs started to swell 3 times there size, & when I asked why they were that way, they said, he's collecting fluid. Well, no kidding! Do something!! When he insisted on leaving, they refused to let him leave. When my Uncle picked him up to discharge him, the hospital said he had to get in the truck on his own. His legs were 3 times their normal size!! He needed help getting in the truck. They would not help him & would not let my Uncle help him. When my grandfather was unable to get in the truck, the hospital readmitted him. He died 3 days. He was forced to have blended or whipped food, even though there was no reason for not having solid food. His last days were horrible for him. If they would've stuck with his medication schedule properly, gave him some adequate nutrition, did something about his swollen legs, let him keep his oxygen & not force a cpap mask, and let him leave on his own free will, he may still be here with us today. I'm not even going to get started on the way they have treated my grandmother & a friend of mine. I would rather die in an ambulance on the way to Brooksville Regional than go to Oak Hill.

Hospital tried to kill me instead of cure me!!!!!!!

Went to the emergency room today because I was having symptoms of a blood clot in my leg turned out it was a bakers cyst behind my knew thank God but was and still is very painful I told the dr several tones the med IK allergic to and the severity of if I take it, I kept making a point of whatever med is prescribed it cannot have any asprin in it and the Dr assured me it was fine too take what he prescribed me witch was 2 different med, picked up my meds from pharmacy and started reading about the side effects turned out both meds prescribed by him main ingredients were ASPRIN!!!!!!! If I didn't look this medication up and listened to my gut feelings God knows if I would still be alive, called up there immediately to complain and of course there only response was to apologize, these people don't listen to anything you have to say they just want to get u in, get paid, and get you out, God knows if I was even diagnosed properly oh and not to mention how rude the nurse and doctors where while I was there I guess it depends on what type of medical insurance you have for the type of respect and treatment you get. Stay away from this hospital it will do you more bad then good they almost took my life with the prescription they wrote me clearly knowing I was severely allergic to it!!!!!
