AMAZING!!!

First off I have to say that this is a long review. Why? Because the food here is FABULOUS. I personally have lived in the neighborhood for quite some time and I have never really went into the restaurant as it looked a bit ordinary. But once I went inside, and tasted their food, I was kicking myself for not going in sooner. All of the food here is wonderful; the presentation is top notch, and the food is cooked fresh, flavorful, and very clean. The portions are large, and the food is very affordable based on the quality. They have an large assortment of dishes not seen in many other local Chinese Restaurants, and each one is just as tasty as the rest.

Taste: 10/10 When it comes to taste this place just serves up some amazing dishes. From the Walnut Shrimp: a chicken dish served ontop of a bed of fresh cut apple, tomato, pineapple slices, covered in a decadent sauce and sprinkled in walnuts; to the Peking Chicken: a dish grilled right as it's ordered, with its own sauce, served next to fresh green peppers and onions ontop of a bed of rice, each meal tastes amazing. (AND YES I SAID GRILLED!) There hasnt been anything on the menu I haven't taken a liking to. Even the traditional dishes served at Chinese American restaurants (ie: chicken wings, general tsos chicken) taste a lot better as the oil used even for frying is changed continually. Everything on the menu just tastes great. My personal favorite is the Salt and Pepper shrimp, which has a sauce to die for. I keep coming back just for this particular dish =]

Presentation: 9/10. The presentation of the food as it's given to you has a lot of love placed in it as well. Usually one wouldn't expect a lot in this department in relation to Chinese food restaurants, but I must say that they spare no expense. The meals are served with care (such as the Walnut shrimp I mentioned above), and that little extra effort is noted.

Atmosphere: 7/10. For the most part this place is like a gem in the rough. The area around where it's located isnt the best looking, but the food itself is great. If you come to order, it's probably best to get your food to go. But you won't be disappointed in anything you buy.

Price: $$. This place is highly affordable but a little bit pricier than your average Chinese food restaurant. But it's worth it as you can taste that the ingredients and quality pays close attention to you the customer. I actually saw them change the oil a number of times on my visits (something I've never seen at any other chinese food restaurant), and the variety of food available at such a high quality is really something.

Overall: 9/10: I think this place serves amazing food and is the best quality American Chinese food restaurant I've been to. They really try to push the envelope and serve food with love and care given to the food. I no longer live in that neighborhood, but I still go by in order to get an order of salt + pepper shrimp whenever I go into withdrawal for it. So if you're in the mood for chinese food you definitely need to stop in here at least once.
