Dr. Thomas T. Woloszyn is board certified in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. He was an attending physician at Maimonides Medical Center in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 1995 until 2009. Dr. Woloszyn was instrumental in establishing the Plastic and Hand Surgery Clinics at Lutheran Medical Center, and served as Director of the Plastic Surgery Division at Lutheran for more than ten years. Published widely in peer review journals, he continues to participate in daily teaching rounds and ongoing research activities. He has offices located in New York (Brooklyn, Staten Island) and New Jersey (Middletown, North Brunswick). Dr. Woloszyn is fully trained in the Brown Procedure. Dr. Michael Brown developed the endoscopic carpal tunnel release procedure (Brown Procedure) in 1991 as an alternative to the “open” release procedure, which resulted in extensive post-operative wounds and scarring and a lengthy healing process. Dr. Woloszyn trained with Dr. Brown in 1992 and together they have traveled all over the country teaching other surgeons this particular procedure. Dr Woloszyn has successfully performed thousands of endoscopic carpal tunnel releases over the past 20 years, helping people to recover quickly while delivering the highest quality of care with compassion and respect.

I had 4 procedures done on the same day, removal of 2 cysts on my hand, carpel tunnel release, and trigger finger release. Afterwards, I wasn't in any pain, just a little discomfort. Just before the operation,Dr. Thomas Woloszyn came in and talked to my husband and me, and he explained exactly what he was going to do and what would happen. Then they put a mask on my face with the anesthesia and I was about to say "I don't think I like this", and the next thing that happened was I woke up, it was all over, and I got excellent results. Immediately after the operation, Dr. Woloszyn came out and spoke to my husband & told him everything came out okay, and she'll be fine. I would highly recommend Dr. Woloszyn. If you need any of these procedures done, he's the guy to go to. Everybody there is also very professional and nice at the Staten Island Hospital.

I never visited Dr. Woloszyn prior the initial appointment in July. Doctor seemed very knowledgeable. And I never regretted that I choose him. I had lipoma removed from my right hand in August. He did an excellent job. No pain during the procedure or after. I didn't even filled the painkiller prescription. Next day I went to work since i could perfectly function like nothing happened. My work involves typing and writing and i'm a righty. I would recommend this doctor to all my friends and relatives. The office is very nice and staff is friendly and helpful. No waiting time before the appointment at all.
