The Saint Austere’s cozy yet bustling dining room and friendly staff have served the Williamsburg neighborhood since 2011. The restaurant is the vision of the Pirolo Siblings (Fabrizio, Jacqueline, John, and Michael), who along with Chef Robert Escalante set out to present a fresh approach on European culinary staples with a focus on fresh ingredients, clean flavors, and rustic accents to be shared amongst friends in an unpretentious setting. The restaurant’s Guest Chef Dinner Series, various wine dinners, as well as seasonal menu changes keep the dining experience exciting for long time regulars and first time diners alike. On Sundays, the Saint Austere features their popular Red Sauce Sundays along with an a la carte dinner menu. The Red Sauce Sunday revolves around a rich tomato sauce with stewed meats, and hearty pasta and harkens back to “Sundays at Mom’s”. The Saint Austere’s beverage program is a thoughtfully curated list of European wines and beers, with a selection of craft spirits and cocktails to enhance guests’ experience. The wine list highlights family owned states, and honors these wineries’ dedication and hard work in their vineyards. They are wines with soul; some show restraint, while others boast bold flavors, but above all else they all tell the stories of these families. The cocktail list features fun and innovative twists on timeless classics.
