WARNING!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY ARE SCAMS !!!.

Jospeh Russo did an in home estimate on 10/04/14 for a move from Brooklyn to Florida on 1/21/15 at a cost of $2400. He was given a deposit of $200. The estimate clearly stated that if you decide to cancel your move, the deposit is refundable up to 12pm EST, 2 calendar days before your move date. Also included on the estimate was FREE box delivery 20 medium boxes included and a charge of $0.01.

After reading all the negative reviews, seeing numerous violations with FMCSA/DOT etc I decided to cancel my move with them on 12/28/14. When I called Joseph Russo he said ok I'll do the cancellation, wished me luck and was about to hang up, At this point I quickly asked about my deposit refund. His exact words were "Is this some kind of Halloween joke? We don't refund deposit and if you want your deposit back you know where our office is, bring our 20 boxes back or send them by UPS"!!! Dial tone!!!! I was totally dumbfounded by the unprofessional manner. I immediately called back and spoke to Anthony DeMarco who said he is the General Manager. After I pointed out that the estimate detailed a full refund and also FREE boxes he became abusive. I however told him I would seek legal action. His exact words were you are moving to Florida so are you going to pay airfare and legal fees to come back to New York to go to court for $200. Then I realized that they were waiting for me to get out of state and forget about the deposit. I filed a complaint with BBB, the FMCSA and DOT and Office of Inspector General. The DOT representative contacted Anthony DeMarco and reported he was very rude adamant that he does not care what the written estimate states, he is not refunding the deposit so I should go to civil court. I am just happy that I am only out $200. This company has the worst business practice possible!!!

Ok So I am a difficult person to please. I am very picky about how things are handled. I expressed this to Anthony at Steven’s Relocation who was very meticulous and detail oriented himself. He set up the logisitcs of my move and I want to thank him for outstanding service. They really impressed me with how they handled my packing and loaded my goods. The crew showed great care with the move and they had great attitudes as well. I would not hesitate to use these guys again but hopefully I will not being moving again.

I was very nervous and apprehensive because I was getting a lot of quotes from different moving companies and it was very confusing. I want to thank the staff at Stevens Relocation, especially Joe, for providing a clear concise quote that made sense for me and my family. What we discussed is exactly what happened with the move and the price he gave me is what I paid. In the end, every single piece of furniture arrived from NY in Oklahoma in perfect condition and every box was accounted for. I could not have asked for more! We booked our Move with Steven’s Relocation, through a recommendation of a friend. No other moving company would have spent the time and creativity it took to get our huge grandfather clock through the front doorway. Actually, after removing the door and trying every possible angle, it was clear the clock was just was not going out with out a fight, after a few attempts and it was certain that their team was pro's in going forward with it. They moved our grandfather clock without a single scratch. This company is very professional and really took their time and cared for our clock as if it were their own. Joseph Russo was a very big help with our moving plans, this was a crazy move from our home in Brooklyn with unloading our storage unit and all the work the guys did for us when we received our delivery in CA, I certainly recommend this company to everyone looking to move. You never know what to expect when having someone come to your house and move your personal stuff. We could not have asked for anyone better! This company is great. •Answered the phone right away we spoke to Joe Russo, who made the move happen on time from our home in New Haven CT . •Never complained about anything. •Took care and attention to every detail. These guys go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your move... My delivery got to my place in Nevada, with in a week, I would highly recommended Stevens Relocation to anyone. Wow! What a sham of a moving company. At the beginning of August 2014 they refused to charge my credit card after they told me I could use a credit card and then kept my stuff for two days until they finally charged the card. (The one that wouldn't charge my card told me to call my family for cash.) The loading of a truck from my storage unit took three hours when it should have taken two hours tops (being realistic)-they moved like molasses! Then the one hour drive (for commercial vehicle) from New Jersey to Brooklyn (30 minutes in a car) took them two and a half hours during which time they charged me $100 an hour. I ended up having friends come and unload the truck when they finally showed up two days later and was still charge $1,000 for the three hours of work.



To top it off, I'm missing items such as a floor lamp and a box of books and ended up with another woman's box of winter sweaters.



One of the two movers was a hard worker and I felt bad that he works for such a terrible company. I couldn't have experienced a worse moving experience.

first don't believe the first review at by Kristen with Anthony D. works for the company! I was relocating from NY to NC and I was calling around for price quotes b/c I had a budget I wanted to use to move my belongings. I spoke to John who said he was a VP of the company (Lie #1) and told me for what I was moving he gave me a price quote of $1250.00 and told me he was able to do that b/c they go down south often and was able to give me a good deal. Then I kept in touch with john with any changes with my order whether it was adding a few pieces or taking off. I sent john an email 5 days prior to the pick up date with a complete detail list of my inventory and I advised him I didn't want any huge surprises with the price I heard of these companies ripping people off. He said no problem quote will stay the same. The day of when they loaded my belongings they said that John made a mistake and under estimated by a lot. I told them that is not my fault and should honor what he quoted me and the office manager Anthony said he would fix it and take care of me and gave me some minimal discounts like they was going to do something but the bill came to over 3,600 dollars. Anthony swore he would look into it and take care of this mistake which he did not do and then when the merchandise arrived he only wanted to take off 100 dollars which I thought was not even close to taking care of the customer. He brought the total down to 3190 and made me pay it in money order or cash couldn't even pay by credit card for the second half again I felt I had no choice or the driver was going to leave with my belongings and not unload. Then when they did my boxes was so crushed and cracks and holes and a new bedroom set was damaged as well as a picture frame was broken in pieces. (I have photos of everything as well) I asked Anthony to let me speak to the president of the company and refused to give me the number and told me to get it from his secretary which he doesn't have or I never even heard of one in the many times I called the office it was a bait and switch to get the items on the truck and if you don't pay their price which is way off the quote this guy provided (who is apparently not with the company anymore) you are stuck in the street with all your goods and no place to go. I am willing to show my emails and photo's if needed. I hope this will reach the president of the company and he will do right by his customer and keep an eye on his employee's and not let this happen anymore.

Do not use them, they are late, avoids phone calls, gives misinformation, and unprofessional.

My experience started out by my relative giving me a reference to them because they were well priced and picked up their move very well.

For me they gave me an estimate of 2300 but charged me 3500. Which I expected, and I paid half in cash with tip. They did well on picking up my things and packing them in a timely fashion. Then the mess started.

I was told they would deliver in one week and I did not get any update. When I tried to get some information, I was told I should be expecting the delivery in 7-10 days. The delivery did not happen in 7-10 days.

I have tried contacting Anthony Demarco and he is not able to give me any information about status of the delivery. Each time the answer is either, “I will call you back in couple hours,” or “I will give you information by the end of the day,” or “I have another call I have to take.” He called me back couple times initially, but now it has turned into no call backs or no reply.

While waiting for my delivery, the relatives that recommended this company to me received their delivery after 4 week delay and their things were damaged beyond repair (coffee table broken in half and mattress that looked like they have been dragged through garbage, etc.), all of their things looked like they were under weather for weeks (literally, looked like they got soaked in rain multiple times and had moss grown on them).

When I received my things, to no surprise, they were unprofessional. They demanded to leave unless I actually pay them upfront for the cost. My bed frame was broken beyond repair, chair broken, crib missing pieces, drawer broken, and etc.

So don’t use this company, if you want your stuff delivered in time and safely.
