Dr. Roman Temkin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He moved to Brooklyn, NY with his parents and then subsequently to Queens, NY where he grew up. His parents are both General Dentists. Dr. Temkin got his Bachelors in Art from New York University College of Arts and Sciences. He attained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Temkin then continued his training, completing a one year General Practice Residency at the Brooklyn VA Hospital in Fort Hamilton, NY. He then did a fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Kings County Hospital. Dr. Temkin then completed the 4 year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Kings County Hospital Center. He served as Chief Resident and won the Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Temkin is recently married and his wife just started her Residency in Pediatric Dentistry in Brooklyn, NY. They plan to move to Long Island and start a family once she has completed her residency program.
