Dov was thorough in all aspects of the house.

Very efficient and polite.

I would especially recommend him for clientele that would like to have heads up with halchic issues that come up around the house. There were things that came up and i would have not on my own realized had it not been for Dov.

ex- they installed a tankless water heater. it can run you problems on Yom tov when using hot water...he gave us a solution and he even got on the phone with my rav to explain the issue and how to resolve it. we were very happy with his service.

Doug was a very polite pleasant individual. Ready to assist with any concerns that myself or family members had . And for this reason I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. He made our experience one to remember

Professional, friendly, punctual, knowledgeable. Took me through the house and explained everything that would be on the report so that I would understand when I was reading it. Even gave me advice on who to use for the remodeling that we were going to do in the home.

Dov was very professional and really gave us the peace of mind we needed. His use of technology was very impressive and the report was emailed that very evening. Our last inspector produced 127 pages in 5 days by which time, we lost the deal.

Dov was a very thorough and thoughtful. He juggled his schedule to accommodate our last minute request for an inspection. WE felt great confidence in his experience and expertise. He was also very kind and supportive during the stressful process of home buying. He produced a written report only hours after the inspection -- an amazing turn around time. He made himself available to further questions any time. And, along the way he also had some funny jokes to share.

Dov was easy to schedule, quick in coming, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to walk through the house with us explaining everything as he assessed it. He pulls no punches and shows you exactly where there are problems and how bad they are. He saved us a GREAT DEAL of money on the first inspection by showing enough that we realized it was the proverbial money pit, and on the second house he was quite positive, but nonetheless pointed out things we hadn't seen.

We have an appointment with Dov Herman at 10AM and he showed up 30 minutes early. Mr. Herman inspected the house thoroughly and professionally.



As Mr. Herman was inspecting the house, he explained to us what he is doing and what he is inspecting. For example, when he was checking the gas meter he told us that this is the gas meter. Then when we were in the garage he explained to us that he is checking the wire for corrosion. He even told us how long the wires will last for and when we should replace it.



Mr. Herman inspected the house with thermal sensor just like how they described it in the business. I received the house inspection report (27 pages) on the same day of the house inspection. Everything went well and I recommend him to anyone looking for home inspections.

If anyone has a need for a building inspector I highly recommend Dov Herman. My wife and I have used him on several occasions and each time he has provided a thorough and professional report. He has also provided information that is so specific we have been able to use it to give details to contractors directing them to provide exactly what was needed to correct our buildings. He sees and feels (we call him the house whisperer) details and nuances in a building that no one else does. His reports are detailed and he turns it around in most cases the same day. If you are considering a building for purchase or just want to perform work on your existing properties call Dov. He is a wealth of information. Dov has compiled years of experience and created an extensive database of which he incorporates into all of his evaluations. You will not find a better building inspector or building professional than Dov

This inspection turned out to be a disaster. Mr. Herman went around the house gleefully pointing out numerous supposed problems, doing so in an obnoxious and unproffesional manner. The "major problems" included a retaining wall that was about to fall down, a central AC unit that was about to break, a deck that was unstable, a roof that was never installed properly and missing shingles (although he never went on the roof - he just used binoculars from the street) and stucco that was "fake" and had water damage. So we spent the next week bringing a roofer, stucco person, deck person, retaining wall person and AC person down to the house to check out these "problems". One after another they said there was nothing wrong with anything and the inspector should be ashamed. The roofer (who actually went on the roof) said there was not a single shingle missing - Mr Herman had lied. It ended up be a collosal waste of time and money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY.
