I'm not one to trust my intuitions but this vet made my skin crawl. You kind of keep having the feeling he's leading you on trying to get you to spend more money. I took my pup there once and never again.

He asked me questions in a condescending way as if he needed an ego boost. He gave me vitamins for him and tried to push Purina on me because he endorses it. I later did some more research to find he has 6 lawsuits against him for malpractice one of which has to do with continuing to offer Purina to a dog that clearly wasn't handling the product well. The dog passed and they filed the lawsuit.

I also found out from a different vet that the vitamins he gave me would have developed my pups bones too early which would have cause major health problem in the future and of course, more health problems means more vet visits for this Bergman guy.

He didn't seem incompetent and I'm sure he'd be more successful if he'd be more honest in his practice. There's NO getting around the feeling he's trying to bring you back to blow more money.

The guy is a fraud and if you don't believe me, step foot into his practice and see for yourself. TRUST me, you'll have that odd feeling making you wanna grab your pet and run out.

My 10 lbs miniature shcnauzer was feeling sick on a Sunday and the animal clinic that we usually visit was closed. I found Mid-Brook Animal Hospital online and took it there. We waited in the waiting area for 45 minutes even with an appointment. My dog never barked at its own vet but it started barking at dr Jack Bregman the second it saw him. The first thing dr Bregman said was "Are you gonna let your dog murder me?" I thought it was a bad joke but he kept on making comments about my dog should be trained not to bark at people all the while standing 3 feet away from the examination table. He told me to " Just bash it on its head." I was shocked that a vet was telling me to hit a sick dog on the head. He asked me for my dog's vet's name and how he diagnoses it and then he criticized my vet and told me I should bring my dog in again the next day for an x-ray and complete exam, when my dog is sedated. The estimate for the x-ray and lab work is $671 and surgury would be at least $1,000 or up extra if determined needed. He never even touched my dog and charged me the examination fee of $49. My dog's sick but he was more concern on me getting a trainer for it than actually taking a look at it. I don't care about his "45 years experience" and all the police dogs he has treated, Dr Jack Bregman was negative, verbally abusive, and over charging. It's a horrible experience. I took my dog to its vet the next morning.

My whole family has been bringing their pets to Mid brook animal hospital for over 20 years. I would not trust anyone else with my pets then Dr. Jack he kept my Reddy alive for 16 years and Casey for over 10 he is an amazing Vet!!
