Attending Physician in Gastroenterology at New York Presbyterian- Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida with a concentration on Molecular Biology and Microbiology. Earned medical degree from FlU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami, Florida. Then completed Internal Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida followed by Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Clinical and research interests include colon cancer prevention and inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. During training worked directly with inflammatory bowel disease specialists at Weill Cornell. Have presented at national conferences, published in research journals and served as a reviewer for gastroenterology medical journals. As an assistant professor, I am dedicated to educating physicians-in-training in the skills required to provide excellent medical care including endoscopy, colonoscopy, medical knowledge, high-value decision making and establishing professional, effective patient-physician relationships. Beyond academics, my primary focus is on providing patient-centered care for all of my patients and their families. This includes providing excellent communication, support and actively involving patients in medical decision making by working together as a team to develop the best approach to their medical conditions.
