This course has a great deal of potential. Fast greens in beautiful shape; must stay below the hole on most, but you can make pars even though it's a long course.

Played all over, including Ireland and Scotland. This course had a bad rep and I never played before this past week but I think it will be a NYC gem when finished. Prior reviews seem to be from another course. Worth a shot.

Home Course Since 1975

I have been playing this course since high school and watched it go from bad to worse to fantastic. Back then a round of golf with a permit was $3.00 for high school players and we didn't leave the course until the sun went down. Marine Park has undergone some drastic changes over the decades, but still remains true to it's heritage.

If you live in Brooklyn and haven't played it, then you need your head examined. Any TRUE golfer will tell you, when you play this course, be ready or be gone. This course offers the best in long ball. the longest hole on the course is the first one, 532 yards, par 5 from tee to green. It looks intimidating but you can still birdie or par to start your round off with a bang.

The 8th hole is relentless, with the wind in your face off of the bay, you play a five iron and come up short. But overall, it's a very good course to play and still a bargain. I would like to wish the new management lots of luck and good fortune with the course.

Hunter, please take of Brooklyn's only true golf course.....
