I contacted with M. Acierno Construction to rebuild my porch. Six months after the job was completed, the cement started to erode and leaks started. Mike would not fix this problem and refused to refund any money.

We hired Mike for a complete apartment renovation. His prices were similar to most others but he was from the neighborhood (Bklyn) so we figured we would give him a shot. From day 1 we had nothing but problems, 1 demolition guy caused a flood in my basement that although they repaired the ceiling, they cannot replace personal belongings that were destroyed including photos etc. I caught the same guy stealing from my home and Mike thereafter fired him. As far as the construction goes the only time we saw Milke was when he dropped off and picked up workers. His workers were unprofessional and while painting and putting in cabinets, they placed a huge scratch on my brand new back door, as well as broke my microwave. Everything had to be done twice, once by the workers and then again by Josh the plumber or Mike when he would finally show up, because it was all shotty work the first time. (doors placed backwards, insullation incorrect, sheet rock not cut properly, staining not done correctly, holes left open from electrician) It has taken over 3 months and the job is still not complete as Mike has not returned with my shower door, so now despite the fact that it was included in the contract, I have to go buy a door and have one installed because he has not returned any calls and has not gotten the door for me. For the price I paid I am completely unsatisfied with the outcome and the way he handled himself. He was full of empty promises. I may add that the reason it took 3 months to do one apartment and is still not done, despite Mike promising me 2 apartments complete before Thanksgiving could have to do with Mike taking 3 vacations in the middle of the job and leaving me with a plumber to perform the construction and workers who did not show up for weeks on end. This was my home that I lived in throughout the construction and it was completely inconsiderate of him to treat us this way being that we paid him on time every payment and never disputed a bill with him. He may answer his phone, email and text but that does not get the work done and he did not get the work done. Like I said he cost as much as anyone else would have and I did have 3 quotes so I would not recommend him or his company to anyone. He is not being hired to complete my second apartment and hopefully this job will go smoothly.

Acierno Contractors redid my concrete in the front of my house a year ago. I waited this long to see if anything would go wrong with the work. Its still beautiful and neighbors and guests always ask who did the work. I always refer this company. There price was rite for good quality work and no hassels..in and out. i def would recommend!
