Dr. Howard Lax helped me when I had a dental emergency and my dentist was on vacation. He is absolutely the gentlest, kindest, most compassionate dentist I have ever met. Earlier that day, I'd been to a "specialist" about a throbbing pain in my tooth. After a pricey consultation, the doctor told me I need root canal, which they don't do there, and he sent me home with antibiotics, Motrin, and Vicodin (12 tablets - supposedly to last me until my dentist returns next week). The medication did nothing but make me drowsy. I then saw Dr. Lax, who was recommended by my pharmacist. He took me on an emergency basis. He opened up the tooth and allowed it drain, releasing the intense pressure and relieving the pain. He is absolutely amazing!
