This company got my phone number from www.123.movers.com. I gave this website my information thinking it was a reputable moving company but it just gave my information out to about 10 scam moving companies. A-one movers is the WORST!! They have called me everyday 3 times a day! I told them I am not interested, but they continue to call! I know for a fact that everything they do is illegal. They are NOT supposed to measure by square foot, they are supposed to pack by weight. When I said this to them they said oh ok, we can do it by weight. They want you to leave a deposit which is also illegal. The woman Suzan who called me sooo many times said that they would beat any price. I said ok the best price I got was $3.00 per cubic foot. (that was given by her company) She said "oh I can beat that!!" Are you kidding me??? That was from your scam company to begin with!!! Stay away from this company!!! There are only a few reputable moving companies on Long Island to go with. Check www.movingscam.com for more information. There was an arcticle in the Wall Street Journal about this website and how great it is. Stay away from any comany trying to charge you by cubic feet. They will give you a low ball price over the phone and then pack the truck with your stuff very loosly and then say you owe them money. If you don't pay then they will sell your furniture or not give it back to you. Please research like I have. Don't let A-One Moving and Storage scam you like they tried to scam me!! **update** They called me AGAIN and I told them to stop calling me or I will sue then and the woman Suzan started screaming at me like a nut! I'm like are you kidding me? You are calling me and harrassing me! Stay far away from this company!

To begin, I was given a quote that turned out to be twice the amount when the move was completed. The movers bought food and drink, and before they left, they dumped their garbage in my yard. Garbage was all over my yard. I had given the movers each a $20 tip(there were 4 of them), and bottled water. The bottles of water I had given to them was included in the garbage that was dumped. This was my "Thanks!". I paid double the quoted price for the move, tips, and tolls. When I called the manager, he told me that the move was more money, and that he would talk to the men about the garbage. I never received any callback or resolution. Will never use them again, or refer them to anyone.
