I am a scuba instructor for almost 20 years. I do not teach much anymore, but I still love to dive as much as I can. I was referred to Kings County Divers by PADI Worldwide when I moved from the Florida keys to New York to be close to my kids (and their mother). I know quality instruction when I see it, and I am very happy to tell anyone who asks that this is the place to get scuba training and to make friends for diving. It is very different from a resort that knows you are only going to be around for a week or so. At Kings County they are always working to make and keep lifelong customers - and that really makes a difference. If you knew what I know about scuba and the business of scuba, you would have to be crazy to even consider dealing with any other place while this store is available to you. I checked out every scuba shop in the book before I decided to take diving lessons. Some places were rude, some were really very friendly, but most of them used a lot of "bait and switch" selling. They had a hundred reasons to sign up now. That was one reason I was so pleased with this place - no games. Their prices were about the same as everywhere else, maybe even a few dollars more for a couple of things, but it was worth every penny and then some. I have grown to really trust these people. Also the more I learn, the more I can see how good their prices are for all the time and effort they spend giving me personal attention. It is a hike for me to get over to Brooklyn from mid Manhattan by train, but I am glad I found them. .Donny Mac.

My boyfriend and I called Kings County Divers so that we could go scuba diving on vacation without wasting time taking lessons on our trip. An instructor sat down with us and took the time to answer all of our questions, gave us choices, prices, schedules, everything we needed to know in advance. Then they did everything they said they would do, just as they promised. Our vacation was a dream. We were better prepared than everyone else we dove with. It was a blast. Since then we have been on many of the dive trips that the store organizes. They have never been a disappointment. It is such a pleasure to find people that are dependable and that really care.
