Three years ago our building was devastated by super storm Sandy. Jalen Management came on board few short months later when we were in deep trouble. Our boilers were flooded, our problems seemed enormous.



For the past 2 ½ years Jalen Management and our Board of Directors have been working relentlessly with NY City officials and Build It Back program to help us rebuild.

Thanks to their efforts we now have two new boilers, new electrical panels, stucco and masonry work. Our property manager Adam continues to work with Build It Back program to make future flood prevention possible.

This is jalen real estate not jalen management. They are two different companies with two different managers. i owned an apartment in a jalen managed building and when I decided to sell my apartment to buy a house in bay ridge i called jalen real estate. They helped me sell my apartment for only 2k under the listing price and helped my find the house i currently live in. They were great. As for jalen management, I never had a problem with them, i hear Paula is very knowledgeable and helpful, but i guess in that type of business you can't make everyone happy.

If I could leave this place zero stars, i would. This is an utterly terrible company. They do absolutely nothing to "manage" the properties that they supposedly manage. They don't return phone calls, they don't respond to damaged windows, refrigerators, floors, or to tenants with loud pets or who are making noisy renovations to their rented apartments. In short, avoid dealing with them at all cost.

Guys! I agree with you about bad Jalen performance. By the way, I have already filed my complain with NYS Department of State, Licensing Division requesting to check if Jalen is still eligible for RE Brokerage license. Secondly, since Jalen rejects any repair, they did it for me through housing court. Court fee is just $45. So, everybody can do the same.

I'm a shareholder at the coop served by Jalen. I have spoken with different coop buildings. They have same problems with their Boards and managements. So, we are trying to cooperate and fight together citywide. In order to unite shareholders and organize appropriate actions, we created a blog on Facebook. The worst service I have ever received. Completely disorganized, staff is overwhelmed and incompetent which makes for a useless organization. Most frustrating business I have ever dealt with. Should not be used as management for ANY cooperative building. They lied to me and I am sure they will lie to everyone else they deal with. Can't get critical paperwork completed. Totally inept at doing their job. Worthless.
