These people are tricksters.

They prey on people who are vulnerable, and con them out of thousands of dollars.

It appears that there is a practice of "promising" a modification with the homeowners bank.

Yet in my situation nobody from this place even contacted my bank.

Four months ago I gave them $2,500.00, which I thought was going to be a down payment to my bank to re do my loan.

No calls, no return calls for all the messages I left. Needless to say I became worried and suspicious. Today I was served a summons and complaint because my bank decided to sue me for foreclosure

because of my inability to pay

and no word, letter or fax from this terrible place to my bank to seek a modification or some type of forbearance

which by the way, I was promised before they took my money.

Today instead of calling I went back to Bensonhurst and waited for them to open,

I was told they could find me an "investor" from their group of investors that lend money

or as they say "write paper" but due to my late payments the interest rate would be a bit higher than it was.

They also told me if I did not want to do a higher interest rate that I should sign my deed over to my sister and let her get a new buyers loan or first time buyers loan that has a 8,000.00 credit that they would use as the down payment.

What kind of hokie pokie stuff is this? I asked for for money back and they snickered while saying it was spent given all the hours they billed. WHAT? They never even contacted my bank!!! I contacted the NYS dept of corporations to make a complaint. I was advised to contact the attorney general and the consumer advocate to ask them to investigate fraud.

Finally, another reason to stay away from this company is that it has many names, and they didn't mention they do business under 3 sometimes 4 of them. The Secretary of State of the State of NY has Quick Rate Mortgage at their address. This must mean that Quick Rate Mortgage is one of its names. Yet this place is NOT registered with the NYS banking commission, and none of the workers are mortgage brokers. I am fed up! I must try to get a lawyer to save my house and to get my money back from these crooks.
