This location has a loud, fun vibe, and the drinks are nice and generously portioned. However, I’m a vegetarian, and every so often I get invited to one of these “meat joints”. And I know it’s not created for people like me, but I detest being forced to choose that confounded black bean burger they serve in EVERY non-vegetarian restaurant. It’s become the equivalent of ordering a salad—Someone inevitably shouts, “Oh, look! They have a black bean burger.” I’m always like, “oh...a black bean burger....oh joy” Haven’t these restaurants heard of other meat substitutes?! They exist you know.

This restaurant is a local favorite in NY. They serve some of the best tempura and chicken wings I've ever eaten. Their mixed drinks range from medium to colossal -- I highly recommend the Mango Margarita. The atmosphere is upbeat and the decor is so so. There are 7 locations throughout New York's 5 boroughs. There's always a crowd and the price is in the inexpensive range. The cooking is down home, southern without the collard greens. The barbecue sauce is not the best I've tasted and if you're looking for marinated meats, you won't get it here. The sauce is served separately, which is not real bbq to me. Fortunately, I don't go there for the bbq but for the drinks, tempura and chicken wings which are also served honey glazed. They also serve steak, cat fish, baked beans, corn on the cob, a variety of salads, and much more. I rate this restaurant 3.5 but this star rating system only allows whole numbers. I recommend Dallas BBQ because the food is quite good and the price is right!
