And several thousand other regulars like myself adore this family-run 3-meal restaurant. Indeed, if you're a regular of this wide-range eatery, you'll be mighty familier with my face. For Heights neighbors who have their choices of up to 40 different restaurants and diners, this is often their selection--and not just because of its closeness to several subways and the court houses. It's run by Grecian-Americans who've got a wide range of employees (countries of origin wise) who more often than not are yelling orders back into the kitchen in Spanish. But seats are pretty much available, except on Saturday and Sunday mornings when young parents bring out their noisy kids to sit, eat and play, oftentimes for longer than the owners might wish. But all told, their menu features a wide range of homemade dishes. They put together take-out selections quickly, and even deliver. A bit of the "old home town" atmosphere is apparent as they get to know you by name. And if you're a regular you'll notice that neighbors feel right at home taking the same tables by the street-side windows each day, and asking "How y' doing?". And that's getting to be rare these days.
