The Bay Ridge Bakery is an amazing place. It is one of the cleanest places I have been to. I am a pastry chef in a city restaurant but I come here exclusively for all my personal needs. The chef, who is also the owner, takes great pride and is very meticulous. I find the negative post below very hard to believe even though it is two years old. Being in the food business myself, sometimes all it takes is a disgruntled customer who cannot be made happy with anything to start lying. I know many people who come here for years and a place that has been around for 40 years has something going there. If you cannot find something you want in this place, you cannot find it anywhere. Highly recommended from a professional source.

This is a great family business that is clean and well consistent for many years in the neighborhood. Always greeted with a smile and they will go out of their way to serve you better.

The first time i walk into bay ridge bakery my thoughts was it has a nice display of cakes, pastries and butter cookies, it gave off an image of a retro look with the neon pink and green. After a few years i kept coming into the store there was a lot of complaints from other customers. Some said that their cakes had mold in it. This one customer came in while i was buying a cake showing the sales girls a pie that brought that had mold in it. My first thought was that its disgusting i mean i been going to that bakery for a good three years there has never been any problem. But this year it seems that it taken a worse turn. A owner was there and made a seen shouting racist comments after refusing to return one of the customer money. It may be a great place for some but i'm planning never to walk into that store ever again.
