I have been coming to this place for about 11 years. It is like a clinic for shoes, bags and leather/fur coats . They have repaired my more precious bags -Gucci and Louis Vuitton- and my best shoes -Chanel and Manolo blank-. They also repaired and fixed fur coats. This is a secret place in park slope.

So far I am pleased with the work I have given to Alvarado. They have a minor mistake on their website with their hours. They open at 8 not 7 which can confound ones schedule if you look on line instead of theclittle sign in their window. They have done a good job on everything I have given them, and a stellar job on my most recent need for soles. They are always polite and have very kindly done small neighborly gestures, like putting a hole in a belt or glueing the tip of a sole for no charge, which is remarkable and so very much appreciated. It certainly keeps me coming back.
