Please do not rent from this company. I wanted peace when I moved into their apartment building at 639 Albany Avenue. Instead, it has been and continues to be a nightmare. Before I even moved all of my things into my apartment, I began seeing roaches. I thought the exterminators came every month and that it would be taken care of during my first month living here. It has not and the problem has been way worse than I could have ever imagined. I have found 3 mice in my apartment. I see roaches every day. I have purchased NO new furniture bc of this problem. I thought I would decorate my home and buy all new appliances and such, but have refrained bc of the problem the landlord has failed to fix. I have called, visited the office and written letters. Nothing has moved the landlord who owns and runs 639 Realty LLC. They merely send an exterminator out who refuses to even service the entire apartment. Myself and my next door neighbor have even caught the exterminator knocking on all the doors on our floor one time and then running off before anyone can get to the door, seemingly so he doesn't have to actually come in and do his job. Instead of getting a new, more competent exterminator, the landlord's receptionist proceeded to tell me that I am bringing the roaches in (false, bc all 6 apartments on my floor have roaches and mice, per my conversations with my neighbors. Btw, I am clean) and that they have already hired the best exterminators. I am without peace every day because of this problem and the landlord is entirely unconcerned. This is the worst living situation I have ever been in in my entire life, particularly in Brooklyn, NY. Please, be warned.
