No, it's not the really good food by Chef Mendy (who I hear was from the Knickerbocker Grill and boy are they mad)!

No, it's not even the 40 flatscreens!

It's a Park Slope STAPLE that nevered changed - even though the neighborhood had!

If you went there in the 80s like I did as a college student, then you could come back as a struggling business person in the 90s, the mom or dad with your kids for brunch around 2000 and now as a home owner and football/baseball/boxing fan of 2008.

Here, everyone knows your name because you grew up with them all: the blue collar men and women of the original slope sitting next to the new slopers who like their meals and their wines just right!
