Why aren't you folks complaining to the Better Business Bureau? They need to have some documentation so they can help with this.

The indifference/incompetence of this outfit is jaw-dropping. Dealing with them was surreal.



The primary control of a double oven needed repair, which meant the part needed to be shipped to a repair facility. We will take care of everything, they said. We will ship the part and make sure it is returned as quickly as possible. And then they proceeded to do nothing for nearly three months.



I called and stopped by their shop over the weeks that passed, checking on progress. We will look into it they said, and, and smiled then went back to whatever they do in there all day long.



Nearing the end of three months I stopped in again and a woman who had just begun work there and who clearly had not yet been trained in their ways of ignoring customer concerns helped. She found the part, on a shelf in the back shop. It had never been shipped.



I mailed it myself and it was returned ten days later fully repaired. The owner of Chetco Appliance installed it for me two days later.



Total elapsed time dealing with South Coast -- 11 weeks and no result... though they had charged 92 bucks to remove the part. Think of that... $92 to remove an oven part and then set it on a shelf for three months. Counting my time shipping the part and having it installed -- 12 days and a small installation charge.



I have no idea why those people did and didn't do what they said they would. It is not worth anyone's time to wonder. I was foolish. I trusted what they said for far too long. What is important is that you never go there. Ever. It is a mad house. If someone suggests this insane place to you, remind yourself of Monty Phython's admonition and RUN AWAY, RUN AWAY!!

Just moved to Brookings. Needed assistance with fridge called at 9am and by 10am I had two guys out to help. Very friendly and went above and beyond great customer service. Will call on them again! Happy new customer.

Under no circumstances EVER go to this place for parts or service! I ordered a handle for a microwave and they "lost" the work order twice! When they finally got it "together" and I use the term loosely they scheduled an appointment to send a repair tech. Appt was for 2pm and tech didn't arrive until 4pm Took the tech literally 15 minutes to replace the handle. We were then charged the full 100 fee. I can understand 50 but 100 for 6 months of losing work orders and a late service call!
