Provided by YP.comYes, they're business may be "clean" and helpful, but their prices are high, which isn't helpful for the average person. For example; the most I EVER paid for an inspection ( pass or fail) was $60 some. First of all, AMF failed me for inspection ( don't know whether it's entirely necessary or not) and told me it would cost $800 just to replace bushings and rear shocks in order for them to pass it. Wow!! That's expensive from what I'm hearing for that work. I went to pick up my car without it having any work done expecting to pay around the normal $60 or so just for them inspecting it, BUT got a shoker by them telling me it would cost over $94. just for an inspection that wasn't even passed. Talk about dissapointment. That IS HIGH. I was not prepared to pay that amount just for an inspection and asked if they could bill be the $40 since I could only afford the "normal" $60 sum that I was expecting, but he said no and that he'll have to keep my car if I can't pay his HIGH BILL in full. Ok. So NOW, he still has my car over $40 and I've already spent lotttsss of money there in the past, including recently over $100 just for an estimate on a different car. Estimate means- no work done on it, just a look over to find the problem. Point is, his prices are on the high end and not very competitive for today's economy. I will be shopping around for better rates now. Sorry AMF- You may have good mechanics, but you also have high labor rates. By the way; I looked the price up for the coolant tube that you said my mom's 17 year old dodge needs, and found it to be as low as $10 and less in some cases for the average shopper on Amazon ( not mechanic rates, which are supposed to be less) and you want to charge me $399.88 to repair that. That's easily around or over $100 an hr, and I don't even KNOW for sure that that would take you 4 hours to repair. Wow! I think you better start lowering your prices a little if you want to continue to bring in business. Liked your service, but I for one will be looking other places because of your prices. As well, Brookhaven Auto needs to brush up on their mechanical skills. My mother had her car there 3 times within a month for the same problem. This car thing in Brookhaven is becoming very frustrating. Cut us drivers a break because you KNOW we're going to need your services. and it would be nice to have local mechanical services in our area, especially for those older folks who aren't driving far anymore and can't get around easily. As far AS I know, there are only the 3 auto mechanics in Brookhaven, Hauser's AMF and Brookhaven, and so far, we've had bad experiences with two of them. Come on Brookhaven Auto Shops, get your acts together AND, lower your prices so your Brookhaven residents have someplace local to go.

Provided by YP.comWhen i moved to to the area I looked on the internet for a new car repair facility & found AMF . It looked good so I asked around town & all comments came back positive. I`ve been using AMF Auto Clinic for about 2 yrs now & have to give credit where credit is due. They have been extremely helpful in repairing my 2 vehicles & explaining why the malfunctions happened .It is a very clean & plesant facility to wait or leave you car to be repaired. My husband & I would definity recommend them to anyone moving into the area.
