This company used to adhere to their tenants rights especially when it comes to excessive noise. I was told by Vic the landlord at the company when I first moved in, that donot go to anyone's door if they are noisy, call him and he will deal with the problem and get them out. I followed what he said, on numerous attempts to no avail so I phoned 311 over 30 or more calls and also to the local 49 precinct about a noisy tenant above. I could not sleep at night and nor function this went on for nearly 10 months in which I complained 8 months. My lease was set to end in Aug. the apartment was supposed to be ready Aug 1st but was pushed back until the 15th after the original studio apartment I was told I can move in was not available because the guy would not leave. I got tired and after paying $1035 for a moldy apartment with a noisy tenant which obviously the city does nothing about, I told them I wanted to leave for a peace of mind. They kept my security deposit but still continued to harass me as I lived out my security and to put a judgement on my record. I have not been in that apartment in nearly a year and still he has it in for me. Hmm could it be that he has a flirtatious nature and he is upset that by right he did not honor his contract and his word, or is it that he is money hungry and care nothing about rectifying the situation.
