I hired NY Bathtub Reglazers to reglaze the tub and regrout all the tiles in my small prewar, subway-tile bathroom. Chris came out to give me an estimate within a day or two of me calling his office and was right on time for the appointment. He gave me an honest assessment of my bathroom situation and the estimate seemed reasonable for a 2-day job. Raymond, the technician, was sent within a week of me deciding to hire them and he was amazing. Not only a pleasure to deal with, he was so professional and very knowledgable about all things 'home improvement.' He walked me through the whole process and told me what to expect since my tile situation was not ideal. These tiles were probably laid in 1935 when my building was built and the tub was surely the original (80 years old). He worked tirelessly and was so respectful along the way. He knew I was hoping for as close to perfect as possible and made every effort to do that level of work. I would highly recommend this company and Raymond, in particular. My tub looks amazing and they give you care instructions, that are reasonable, to keep it that way. The tiles combined with the tub make the bathroom look brand new. To top it off, I replaced hardware all around: towel bars, sink faucet, etc. and I couldn't be happier. They made a difficult old bathroom shine again. Thank you for a job well done!

We hired NY Bathtub Reglazers to reglaze our tub in October 2012. I took time off work for our 3:30 appointment, and they showed up after 5:30 - so I shouldn't have taken time off from work. They painted over our drain, and the tub immediately blistered. The bottom of the tub is so rough that it's uncomfortable to sit on. They did send a plumber to unclog the drain (our Super worked on it for an hour and a half, to no avail). However, they stood us up TWICE when they were scheduled to come re-do the tub. After the second no-show, Chris promised a refund within three days. After a week, we called to see what happened. We were told he forgot, but the check would be in the mail the next day. After another week, we called again. This time Chris hung up the phone when he heard who was calling. We called the next day from a different number, and Chris again hung up the phone once he heard who was calling. He will no longer answer our calls. Our next step is to take legal action to get our money back. Take your business elsewhere. This has been a three month process and it is still not over.
