Worst Hospital In the Bronx

I visited this hospital on several occasion I had to go there because it was one of the few hospitals to accept my Medicaid. When I got to the adult clinic a Hispanic man behind the counter tried his best "machismo' to harangue me into taking a seat by actually yelling at the top of his voice. This was after I tried to see if there was any problem since I had been waiting in the waiting room for over four hours.

On another occasion I went to see an orthopedic specialist about my separated shoulder. After waiting again for over four hours he popped his head into the room in which I was waiting and then popped back out. I finally had to go to his office to get him, where upon he said that he did not know that I was his patient but yet he was the director of orthopedic surgery. However, as a man I knew what had happened, I have seen it before. I get these guys that are really homophobic, to the point where they cannot even function. Normally I would not even justify the expression homophobia because I do not believe that it is a legitimate diagnosis and on top of that I am not gay. However, there are these 'men' that are really immature who do not know how to deal with anyone they even suspect of being homosexual and what's worse act on their own preconceptions. He did not strike me as a legitimate doctor or else needs to be in a better place where he can grow up.

In terms of psychological immaturity in doctors I suffered under another one at this hospital. It was a young Indian woman. She asked me if I wanted to take the steroid inhaler for my asthma and I said no. I do not trust many of the products coming out of the medical community and I certainly wasn't going to take a chance with some steroid inhaler if I did not have to. It turns out that this child became so irate that I did not take the steroid inhaler that she actually refused to give me the inhaler used for emergency purposes, Proventil, so I was forced to walk out of that hospital with absolutely nothing after hours of waiting and run the risk of having an asthma attack during the night. This was around the time when the medical community wanted to implement their hair brain idea of taking all of the over the counter asthma pumps off the market to have more people come into the hospital to take the steroids.

On top of that I actually walked down the hall one time I was there and found an unlocked refrigerator with vials of blood inside of it. When I opened I thought to myself how easy it would be to take this blood samples and spill on someone if you wanted to scare them or just to shatter the bottles. Hopefully they were not for any purpose other than testing.

North Central Bronx Hospital, you have the most immature and unprofessional staff in New York City.
