Mark C. Liszewski, MD, is Director of the Division of Pediatric Imaging at Children?s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM), Associate Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Montefiore, and Assistant Professor of Radiology and Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Liszewski joined Montefiore in 2015. As a Pediatric Radiologist, Dr. Liszewski works with pediatricians and pediatric specialists to provide family-centered diagnostic imaging services attuned to the needs of children. He also has specialized experience and knowledge of the radiologic diagnosis of medical conditions affecting children. Dr. Liszewski received his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Minnesota (Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) in 2003 and obtained his Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha) in 2007. After graduating, Dr. Liszewski began an internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. In 2012, he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Brigham and Women?s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, acting as Chief Resident in 2010. In 2013, Dr. Liszewski completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology at Boston Children?s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he acted as the Chief Fellow. Dr. Liszewski?s research focuses on the radiologic diagnosis of medical conditions affecting children. Dr. Liszewski has particular interests in imaging of diseases of the pediatric chest, lungs and airway, ultrasound elastography in pediatric liver disease, and novel techniques in fluoroscopy. Dr. Liszewski has published many scientific articles and book chapters on the imaging of pediatric thoracic, gastrointestinal and vascular diseases. He is also an assistant editor for the pediatric imaging section of the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) and a reviewer for Pediatric Radiology. Dr. Liszewski is a member of several professional societies, including the Radiological Society of North America, the Society for Pediatric Radiology and the American College of Radiology. A past member of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) Core Exam Committee, he currently sits on the ABR Online Learning Assessment Committee and the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria Pediatric GI Rapid Response Steering Committee. He has been recognized with several awards, including the Ralph Ger Award in Clinical Anatomy, the Golding Scholar Award, and was named to the AJR Reviewer Honor Roll.
