Even though I'm now living in Miami I still come back to this place when I visit my family. I got my first tattoo there! This tattoo shop is just as good and the price is definitely right I think they care more about the art and the price is definitely right I think they care more about the art than charging people too much I really like that .

Awesome Place!!! The People Are Great!!!

After years of deciding on a tattoo I finally got my dream tattoo at "It is what it is". It took me such a long time because I couldn't make up my mind on exactly what I wanted. I had heard about this place from a few people which is pretty rare for a place in The Bronx. Everybody had great things to say about it. an appointment is not necessary but I highly recommend you call ahead first or stop by to make an appointment.

I absolutely love this place! It is What it is! Tattoo and Body Piercing is definately one of those little neighborhood places a lot of people don't know about unless you live right in the area. I work at a spa on 5th Ave. and I saw a beautiful tat on a client. I asked her where she got it . She told me her ink came from It is What it is! located in the Bronx. Since she looks like she has a lot of money especially to be going to the spa I work at and could afford to go anywhere in the city I asked her why she would go all the way to the Bronx for a tat. She told me her dad gets inked there and he swears by it.



My boyfriend helped me design a tat to match his. The problem is that I really couldn't afford it at any other place I went to before. I decided to give It is What it is! a shot. I wasn't expecting to get my tat the same day. I just wanted to check it out and make my decision later. I went in with my bf and ended up getting my tat the same day after all. Smoke is the tat artist and I felt really comfortable with him. The place is small and busy but, it's one of the reasons I like it. Everybody knows everybody and I can tell it has a good reputation. The store is clean and the price was right. I plan to get another tat on my foot in a few months. Ooooh Yeah!
